The government of Sade consists of a prime minister and a number of ministers. The prime minister is elected by the parliament. Officially, the government is appointed by the president after the elections. The government has two jobs. The first is to be the body which convenes for the general governing of the country and the second is to make decisions for the governmental and administrative matters. The prime minister oversees the government and chairs the plenary sessions of the government. The current prime minister is Mr. Jack Simple, leader of the National Coalition Party of Sade.
Political System
Sade has a multiparty political system and a president as the head of state. They are a parliamentary democracy. Every citizen carrying a Sadeian passport and over the age of 18 has the right to vote on election day. The head of state is elected for a period of six years. The president's power has been reduced in the past years and the position of the prime minister has been strengthened. The president is in charge of relations with other countries, is the commander-in-chief of the defence forces and participates in organisations outside of Sade. Currently the President of Sade is called Lilith Tarja. She hasn't been the first female president in all of Sade, but she is one of the many who were elected. In 2000 the citizens of Sade elected a Female president for the first time in years.
The ParliamentThe Parliament (also called the Centrephil) has 200 members who are elected every 3 years. The Parliament enacts the law, approves the states budget and oversees the government. They are also responsible for choosing the Prime minister. A multiparty system means that no single party is likely to win an absolute majority in parliamentary elections. Normally, the president of the party with the most seats becomes the countries prime minister. Currently there are two big parties in the parliament, the Centre Party and the National Coalition Party.

Military
Sade has always been a silent country in war. During WW2, they participated by protecting the citizens of the country. 20,000 scouts were sent out. Military enlistment is not limited to any race, sexuality or gender. This applies to all work, including frontline work. Enlistment is not mandatory, because the country has always been neutral and doesn't join in a war unless they're attacked. The enlisting age is 18, around the same time when citizens can start to vote in the elections. The initial service is 1-2 years, depending on what the person prefers. After that they are required to only come back once in 5 years for a month of service. There are less than 30,000 active members of service, because of the neutrality in the country. Each year, the country spends around $50,000-$100,000 on defenses for the country.
